On 29th February 2012- Malaysian Health Minister Liow Tiong Lai has announced that all the toxic/ low-radioactive waste from the Lynas rare earth plant in Malaysia will be shipped back to Australia and will not be stored in Malaysia. Applaud the government on this decision, now Lynas has to deal with the Australian Government. Waste disposal/ storage in Malaysian soil is a big NO NO! Afterall, the rare earth is extracted from Mount Weld in Western Australia.
